About me

Hello! I'm Sergei. I am a commercial photographer and I live in Palo Alto with my camera, wife and two kids. After living in Siberia, Wisconsin and New Mexico, we decided to move to sunny California for a change.  I'm quite happy to be in vibrant and exciting Bay Area community.

I have been taking pictures since the second grade, but started my professional photo career when my wife (in her infinite wisdom) gave me a DSLR for my birthday about a  dozen years ago. Since then my shots appeared on countless websites, book covers, promotional booklets, advertisements, billboards, and even on the cover of TIME magazine. That's a long way from my very first photos taken by a plastic soapbox camera made from a kit with a rubber band-powered shutter.

Overall, I have found photography to be a great way to make friends. I do what I like, and I like what I do, and this makes me truly happy.
